The Situation
After an unsuccessful application to the Innosuisse Startup Innovation Project (SIP), 4QT disagreed with the assessment and feedback they received. The next submission deadline was very close, and they needed to move fast to resubmit a stronger application.
Our Approach
We began with a rapid review of the formal rejection letter to pinpoint lines of inquiry. We then analysed the prior application and prepared targeted questions for Innosuisse to clarify the reasons for rejection. This work surfaced three priority areas for improvement: the financial plan, the value proposition, and the go-to-market strategy. For each area, we delivered specific, actionable recommendations to strengthen the resubmission.
The Impact
4QT reworked the application independently and submitted on time. Innosuisse subsequently approved the grant and awarded CHF 1.9 million to support 4QT’s market entry with its hybrid powertrain.
Following our first SIP attempt, Alfred partnered with us to choose the best route and present our proposal in a way that highlighted our technology’s value for Innosuisse. Marc Vetter, Co-founder and CEO, 4QT Holding AG
