An Evening of Builders, Ideas, and Suisse Romande in Zurich
Alfred had the pleasure of co-hosting Baguette Francophone à Zurich, bringing together founders, operators, researchers, and builders from the francophone tech ecosystem in Zurich.
And once again, the Alfred terrace near HB proved to be a pretty good setting for conversations that start casually and often go much further.
A French-Speaking Corner of the Zurich Tech Scene
The evening gathered around 50 people working across startups, AI, robotics, big tech, and research.
Belgians, Canadians, French, Luxembourgeois, Swiss romands, and other francophones all in one place. A little morceau de Suisse romande in the middle of Zurich.
The format was intentionally simple:
no panels
no pitches
no agenda other than meeting interesting people
Or, as we might say: on refait le monde autour d’un verre.
Builders Around the Table
What made the evening special was the quality and diversity of the people in the room. Founders exchanging fundraising stories, AI researchers discussing models and applications, startup operators sharing lessons learned, all in a relaxed and informal setting.
No over-structured networking. Just good conversations between people building interesting things.
Why We Enjoy Hosting These Gatherings
At Alfred, we spend most of our time working alongside founders and investors. Events like this are a reminder that some of the best connections happen outside formal meetings and conference stages.
Sometimes all you need is a terrace, a few introductions, and the right group of people.
Merci à Edo from Founderful for organizing the evening, and thank you to everyone who joined us.
À la prochaine!
