Oliver brings a strong combination of scientific depth and practical IP expertise, strengthening how we support founders and investors working with highly innovative technologies, particularly in deeptech, life sciences, AI, robotics, and advanced engineering.

Background & Expertise

Oliver is an experienced Swiss and European Patent Attorney at Troesch Scheidegger Werner AG, advising clients on intellectual property matters including patents, trademarks, and designs.

With a background spanning academia, startups, and large corporates, Oliver focuses on helping companies protect the innovation that defines them. His work includes developing IP strategies, prosecuting intellectual property rights, and litigating patents, trademarks, and designs.

He particularly enjoys navigating the full spectrum of intellectual property strategy, from broad strategic concepts to defining and defending concrete inventions, brands, and designs. Supported by the broader capabilities of a full-service IP law firm, he advises clients across all levels of intellectual property law.

Oliver also brings a strong scientific background, holding a PhD from ETH Zurich in organic and medicinal chemistry. This allows him to work closely with technically sophisticated companies and understand complex innovations from both a legal and technical perspective.

Over the years, Oliver has worked closely with the Alfred team and its clients, supporting founders and innovative companies across a wide range of industries and growth stages.
