The Situation

ETH spin-off RoBoa AG has developed a snake-like robot to navigate confined spaces such as pipes and sewers. RoBoa sought funding from the Innosuisse Start-up Innovation Project (SIP) program to finalise the product and enter the market.

Our Approach

Under our Full Grant Application Writing service, Alfred led the end-to-end preparation to deliver a high-quality, on-time submission. Together with the RoBoa CEO, we built a clear storyline that explained the company’s value proposition and the remaining pre-market development work. Alfred handled all business content while RoBoa provided the technical sections. Together we updated the market model and quantified the opportunity with current data and transparent assumptions.

The Impact

Innosuisse approved the application and will contribute CHF 1.3 million to RoBoa’s project starting in 2026.

Working with Alfred to draft our SIP application was a great decision, even with our prior grant experience. Their expertise was instrumental in crafting a winning application and positioning our project so evaluators could assess it clearly. I especially value their clear and structured approach and their business sense. I have already recommended Alfred to other founders, and I am sure they will add value to anyone pursuing non-dilutive funding options.
