Background & Expertise

Thomas has gained his wealth of experience working at various renowned law firms, including a boutique firm specializing in startup legal advisory, as well as Niederer Kraft Frey, where he focused on M&A and corporate law. His business-oriented approach to guiding founders and companies through the critical stages of their business - from incorporation, financing rounds, and structuring incentive plans- positions him as a well-rounded legal advisor. His academic foundation is equally strong, holding an LL.M. in Business and Technology Law from Berkeley and a Master of Laws from the University of Zurich.

Thomas' areas of specialization include venture capital investments, corporate law, and M&A, while his knowledge extends to other key areas like employment law and contract law.

With an entrepreneurial mindset, he fosters genuine connections in the startup community, enjoying engagement with founders and relying on his strong network to stay attuned to their insights and the latest industry developments.

Role at Alfred

In his new role at Alfred, Thomas will:

• Facilitate Venture Capital Transactions: He will help structure and negotiate financing rounds that benefit both startups and investors.

• Strengthen Legal Foundations: Thomas will provide general legal advice to startups and SME's to ensure they are set up for success from day one.

• Assist with M&A Transactions: He will help clients navigate the intricacies of mergers and acquisitions.
