We’re excited to welcome Beat Arbenz to Alfred as an M&A Transaction Advisor. With over 30 years of experience in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, and valuation, Beat brings deep strategic insight and hands-on expertise to support founders and companies through complex transactions and growth phases.

Background & Expertise

Beat has built a distinguished career advising on company sales, acquisitions, and financial strategy across both international and domestic markets. Over more than three decades, he has guided organizations through the full M&A lifecycle, from initial preparation to negotiation and successful deal execution.

He began his career at EY, where he rose to Partner and led the Valuation & Financial Modeling and M&A team. His work focused on complex financial modelling, business valuations, and transaction advisory across a wide range of industries.

Beat later joined Migros-Genossenschafts-Bund as Head of Corporate Finance, where he spent nearly 17 years leading major strategic initiatives. During this time, he played a key role in expanding Migros Industry internationally, building new business divisions, and executing numerous acquisitions across Switzerland and Europe.

His experience includes:

  • Leading due diligence processes and transaction structuring

  • Conducting company valuations using established financial methodologies

  • Managing restructuring projects, spin-offs, and carve-outs

  • Supporting succession planning for entrepreneurs and business owners

  • Serving on multiple boards across Migros companies

Today, Beat operates his own firm, Beat Arbenz Corporate Finance Consulting, where he continues to advise clients on M&A, valuation, and strategic financial decisions. He holds a degree in Business Administration (lic.oec.publ.) from the University of Zurich.

Role at Alfred

Beat will:

  • Advise founders and companies on mergers, acquisitions, and exit strategies

  • Support valuation and financial modelling for strategic decision-making

  • Guide businesses through the full M&A process, from preparation to closing

  • Assist with restructuring, carve-outs, and succession planning

  • Provide senior-level insight for complex financial and strategic challenges

Beat is passionate about helping entrepreneurs navigate critical moments in their company journey, whether scaling, restructuring, or preparing for a successful exit. His ability to quickly understand complex situations and translate them into actionable strategies makes him a valuable addition to the Alfred team.

We’re delighted to have him on board.

Successful transactions are not just about numbers. They require a clear strategy, careful preparation, and the ability to align all stakeholders around a common goal. I’m looking forward to supporting founders at Alfred through these critical moments.” Beat Arbenz
