Company formation, growth, and financing for instance through funding rounds are exciting milestones, but they also come with complex legal questions. Getting these right early can make a meaningful difference for founders and any company, both in terms of speed and long-term growth and compliance.

To support founders and young companies from the very beginning, Alfred is collaborating as exclusive legal partner with the Aargau Start-up Center (Aargauer Gründungszentrum), a service provided by TECHNOPARK Aargau.

The collaboration is designed to help founders and SMEs build their companies on legally sound foundations, support with efficient growth and solving of legal challenges, and to ensure investor-readyness to secure investments, all without unnecessary complexity.

A Service Built Around the Startup Journey

The partnership is aimed at founders, startups, and SMEs who want to create a solid legal foundation for incorporation, growth, and potentially future financing rounds.

Rather than one-off legal advice, the focus is on clear structures, practical decision-making, and support that evolves as the company grows.

Scope of Services

Together, Alfred and the Aargau Start-up Center offer hands-on legal support across three key phases.

Company formation

Support includes guidance on choosing the right legal form, drafting and reviewing incorporation documents, and setting up shareholder and shareholders’ agreements. Founders are also advised on defining roles, responsibilities, and ownership structures early on.

Growth and operations

As companies begin operating and scaling, the service covers contracts with customers, partners, and employees, advice on corporate governance and organizational structures, and support with legal questions arising in day-to-day operations.

Financing and investment rounds

For startups preparing to raise capital, the service includes preparation and structuring of financing rounds, drafting and reviewing investment documents such as convertible loans, SAFEs, and share capital increases, and coordination with investors and other advisors. The emphasis is on fair, balanced structures that meet investor expectations while remaining founder-aware.

Why This Matters for Founders

The collaboration is built around a few core principles:

  • Legal clarity and security from the start, reducing long-term risk and clean-up work later

  • Practical, startup- and SME-tested advice with a business-focused mindset

  • Efficient processes and clear explanations, without unnecessary legal overhead

  • Personal support from the Alfred team, closely connected to the Aargau startup ecosystem

Who the Service Is For

This service is particularly relevant for:

  • Founders in the idea, incorporation, or early growth phase

  • Startups preparing for their first or next funding round

  • SMEs looking to professionalize their legal structures

By combining legal expertise with the hands-on startup support offered through the Aargau Start-up Center and Technopark Aargau, the collaboration aims to give founders the confidence to build, scale, and fund their companies on solid ground.
