Paul brings over 40 years of experience in finance, advisory and strategy, combining senior leadership roles with extensive expertise in capital raising, valuation, M&A and financial management. He began his career at Price Waterhouse (now PwC), advising companies across various industries on auditing, valuation and due diligence in the UK and Switzerland.

As CFO of Helvetia Insurance, one of Switzerland’s largest insurance groups, Paul strengthened the finance function, established capital raising capabilities and supported the group's growth through extensive M&A activity. Throughout his career, he has also led IPO projects, managed corporate development and capital management teams, and contributed to the launch and growth of Helvetia's venture capital fund.

 

Since leaving Helvetia, Paul has been an active angel investor and startup mentor. Combining his operational experience with an investor's perspective, he helps founders and management teams strengthen their financial foundations, prepare for funding rounds and make informed strategic decisions. At Alfred, he supports clients with financial modelling, valuation, capital raising, budgeting, liquidity planning and financial reporting.
